P. G Diploma of 1 Year in Fashion Design & Clothing Technology
Duration: One Years
New one year P.G. Program in Fashion Design & Clothing Technology is specially designed to give a Post Graduate Diploma for the students who have already completed 3 years degree equivalent in fashion design from any university or recognized institute.
The one year course will give advance knowledge upgrading students’ basic knowledge in fashion design and clothing technology. Internship in well established industrial houses will help to improve career prospects. The career prospects with sound knowledge and practical based skills completed with in depth understanding of designing and use of technology gives students excellent career prospects as Fashion Designers, Fashion Coordinators, Fashion Illustrators & Fashion Technologists. Qualifying students may work also as freelance designers consultants or may start their own fashion studios and boutiques.
Eligibility:
Only for those having completed minimum 3 years graduation/degree in Fashion Design from any recognized organization/institute.
Admission on the basis of personal interview & 15 days foundation course is compulsory.

In today's appearance conscious society, clothes play an important part. Clothes make the man and it is the designer who makes the clothes special. A true fashion designer possesses the ability to transform a piece of fabric into a work of art.
The fashion scene in India in the garment industry has evoked and kindled great expectations and excitement. The international catwalks have been turned into a stage for new Indian mysticism and enigma. The legendary Indian look has permeated international fashion totally.
With fashion catching on fast over India, Fashion Design students can take up positions as fashion co-ordinators, stylists, merchandisers, textile analysts, pattern makers, production managers, store managers, fashion illustrators and even fashion journalists. Students of Fashion Design have avenues open to them even in allied fields like window-dressing, choreography and accessory design.
This FASHION DESIGN curriculum covers the finished product. Technical aspects like fashion art, elements of design, pattern making, surface ornamentation, draping, textiles, garment construction and fashion illustration are taught and practised.
